Greetings Wildcat Parents, 

I would like to welcome you to the 2024-25 school year!  My name is Jody Gunderman, and I am the proud principal of Castle Rock Elementary School, home of the Wildcats! I look forward to serving our students, staff and parent community.  Our school has amazing staff that strive toward academic excellence and character development. They also have a growth mindset and are always looking for ways to improve.

Our mission at Castle Rock Elementary School is to provide an excellent education using high quality curriculum and offering a variety of programs and services. Our intent is to nurture the unique potential of each student to enable them to fulfill their goals and realize their potential as contributing members of society.  

Parents are vital to student success and you are encouraged to engage in your child’s educational journey at Castle Rock. We have many Parent Nights scheduled with a “fun educational kid focus” and a few tips on how to help your student succeed and grow. Please download the Parent Square and Aeries app to stay updated on your student's grades and with announcements. You can also be in constant communication with your student’s teacher via Parent Square. Active two-way communication is true parent involvement. 

We will continue to use our school website as a great resource for information and celebrations. We hope that you will find this website useful and informative while providing a convenient reference for basic and essential information concerning the operation of the school.
